Liverpool snatched a dramatic win over Newcastle United on Monday night, with 16-year-old debutant Rio Ngumoha scoring a stunning 100th-minute winner in a thrilling Premier League clash.
Ryan Gravenberch had opened the scoring for the Reds in the first half against the run of play. Newcastle’s best player Anthony Gordon was sent off for a reckless challenge on Virgil van Dijk.
Hugo Ekitiké, one of many summer signings for the reigning champions doubled Liverpool’s lead seconds after the break. The former PSG man had also previously rejected offers to join Newcastle.

Despite being down to ten men in what was dubbed the ‘Isak fight’ Newcastle showed great resiliance. Bruno GuimarĂ£es pulled one back before substitute Will Osula equalised late in stoppage time, seemingly earning the Magpies an unlikely point.
But in the final moments, Ngumoha found the net with a sublime finish, making sure the visitors take all three points from St James Park.
Liverpool remain unbeaten, while Newcastle are left to rue a night of drama, defiance—and a teenage wonder stealing the show.
