Renowned gospel minister Sharon Manyonganise-Cherayi will host a two-day women’s retreat dubbed “The Great Exchange” on 4-5 September 2026 at Glen City Campus Retreat in Ruwa.
The retreat, set to begin at 5PM, is aimed at providing women with a space for rest, healing and spiritual revival away from daily pressures.
Sharon said the initiative was born out of a long-held vision to create an environment where women can “pause, breathe, rest, reconnect and be refreshed by the presence of the Lord.”
The programme will feature an intergenerational panel of speakers including Prophetess Wazara, Evangelist Gwatidzo, Mai Chisamba, Nyingeterai Mahaka, Auntie Joy, Chengetai Mhisi and Yvonne Tivatye.
According to Sharon, the mix was deliberate to balance seasoned wisdom and the younger generation in addressing daily life issues.
“We wanted people who have experienced what we are experiencing and what we are yet to experience… so we can listen to them, learn how to navigate life, relationships, marriage and purpose,” she said.
Proceedings will open on the evening of 4 September with a session themed on surrender and exchange.
Day two will feature spiritual teachings, wellness activities, mentorship and access to the retreat facility’s recreational amenities.
Organisers said the retreat targets any woman seeking clarity, healing or renewed direction.
In conclusion, Sharon said, “My hope is that women realise who they truly are; that they matter, their voices matter, and their contributions and wisdom count.
They are fearfully and wonderfully made, with the power to speak, create and shape their lives.
I want them to step into their full potential, not just to dream, but to act; not just to hope, but to see their hopes, desires and expectations fulfilled.”
General admission, which includes dormitory accommodation, is pegged at US$50 while VIP access to chalets costs US$75.
