Harare -SPECIAL Presidential advisor and Prevail Group chairman Dr Paul Tungwarara has signed a US$200 000 annual advertorial deal with the Scottland Magazine Show in what has become one of the largest single year advertising commitment in Zimbabwe’s sports media sector,Express Mail Zim can report.
The agreement covers both the magazine’s print and podcast editions comes as local business leaders increasingly demonstrate a collaborative rather than competitive approach to national development.
Dr Tungwarara said his decision was inspired by the example set by fellow businessman Wicknell Chivayo who has also been supporting the Scottland brand. He stressed that local corporates were complementing and not competing with one another in driving economic and social progress.
“I saw my brother Sir Wicknell Chivhayo, supporting the show and I decided that all Prevail companies will advertise with The Scottland Magazine Show for a year,” he said.
“The fact that we sometimes operate in similar industries with Honourable Scott doesn’t mean we are competitors we complement each other.”
Prevail has a borehole drilling company and Betterbrands also has a similar venture and the two companies sometimes sub contract each other through business synergies.
Dr Tungwarara urged businesspeople to enter into partnerships.
He also announced plans to support Scottland FC in the coming season by providing free transport for fans attending matches at Rufaro Stadium through his Tap and Go public transport service.
“We want to be part of Zimbabwe’s football transformation journey,” he said.
Tungwarara congratulated Scottland FC for winning the 2025 Premier Soccer League title, describing the achievement as a product of “visionary leadership, hard work, and community spirit”.
He further commended Scottland Magazine Show executive producer Tapiwa Letmore Mbidzo for maintaining international production standards and said the creative sector deserved wider global exposure.
Turning to social issues, Dr Tungwarara urged corporate players to support national efforts against drug and substance abuse and encouraged Hon Sakupwanya to introduce village level football tournaments to promote rural talent.
Scottland FC chief executive officer Ronald Moyo attributed the club’s success to “determination and teamwork”.
