HARARE – The newly consecrated Archbishop of ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries Dr Joseph Guti paid a courtesy call on President Emmerson Mnangagwa at the Munhumutapa Building in Harare on Wednesday.
Archbishop Guti was accompanied by Amai Guti, widow of the late ZAOGA founder Archbishop Ezekiel Guti and other senior church officials.
He said the visit was to appraise the President on developments in the church and to express appreciation for his leadership.
“It was a courtesy call to demonstrate our support for His Excellency’s visionary leadership and to share updates on what is happening in the church of ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries,” Archbishop Guti said.
“Just last week we were celebrating 66 years since the birth of ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries. So worldwide the church continues to grow since the departure to glory, promotion to glory of the visionary founder, Archbishop, Professor Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti.”
He added that the church remained committed to national development.
“The church continues to grow, more buildings, more churches, more members, more nations. So there is peace, there is growth and stability in the church of ZAOGA Forward in Faith and even in our nation. The church of ZAOGA Forward in Faith contributes in many ways to nation building.”
“We are continuing with the spiritual legacy that Baba Guti gave us that we remain the salt of the earth, the light of the world. We want to be a blessing to this nation and continue in that path,” he said.
ZAOGA Secretary General Bishop Mishael Nyambo said the visit was to formally introduce the new church leader to the President.
“We came to see His Excellency today just to introduce to him the new Archbishop of ZAOGA Forward in Faith who was consecrated on the 25th of January 2026,” Bishop Nyambo said.
President Mnangagwa has consistently emphasised the role of the church in nation building.
