HARARE-United States-based hip-hop artiste Liberty Jumbi, popularly known as Libbsjumbi, has expressed his desire to collaborate with Zimdancehall superstar Winky D in the near future.
“I have been doing a lot of collaborations across different genres because I love to experiment and showcase a unique artistic expression,” said Libbsjumbi.
“On my previous projects, I worked with the likes of DJ Discord of Mafriq, Big, Real Beats, and Dadza D. My wish is to one day have a duet with Winky D.”
Libbsjumbi continues to dream big after recently releasing a new video titled Party, a collaboration with rising songstress Natasha Muz.
“I am very hopeful and confident that this new track will open more doors. Many people are loving it both here in the U.S. and back home. This song marks my official entrance into the mainstream showbiz,” he said.
Natasha Muz described Party as one of her best collaborations so far. The track was produced by G Bunnie and mixed and mastered by Cleff Jones. The video features captivating dance routines, lakeside visuals, and catchy sing-along lyrics, making Party a must-watch production.
Libbsjumbi’s love for music began at a young age, but he only turned professional last year. The Chitungwiza-born artiste is known for his distinct, eardrum-scratching vocal pitch and has already recorded 17 tracks to date. Among them is Unondiponda Ponda, a collaboration with Dadza D and Big Broogie, released earlier this year.
“It has always been a lifelong dream to be an artiste,” Libbsjumbi reflected.
“I’ve started working on my debut album, a conceptual project that will spark incredible thought.
The music is already there, but due to time constraints,balancing work and music,I plan to release it next year. The album will feature many duets and collaborations with different producers and artists from various genres, making it truly special.”
