HARARE – ZIMBABWEAN automotive giant Faramatsi Motors has appointed seasoned industry executive Marius Prinsloo as its new managing director effective October 1 2025,
The company announced the development this week.
Prinsloo boasts over 30 years of experience in the automotive sector across Sub-Saharan Africa and takes the reins at a time when Faramatsi Motors is expanding its footprint and strengthening its brand presence in the region.

In a statement, Group Chief Executive Officer Farai Matsika said Prinsloo’s appointment aligns with the company’s vision to drive innovation and sustainable growth in Zimbabwe’s motoring industry.
“Marius is a values-driven leader with a passion for innovation and sustainable growth. He is widely respected for building strong teams and driving transformative initiatives across various markets,” Matsika said.
Prinsloo began his career as an engineer at Nissan South Africa in 1992 before rising through various leadership roles within the automotive industry. His experience spans major global brands such as Toyota, Suzuki, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, and Hyundai, making him one of the most experienced automotive executives in the region.
Faramatsi Motors which is a fast-growing player in Zimbabwe’s automotive market said Prinsloo’s appointment is expected to bolster its operations and strategic partnerships as it continues its push to “go beyond motion,” in line with its corporate slogan.
The appointment marks another major step in Faramatsi’s transformation drive under Matsika’s leadership which has focused on modernization, innovation and regional competitiveness.
