Harare- Ambassador at large and prominent preacher Uebert Angel has applauded businessman and Scotland FC owner Honourable .Scott Sakupwanya, describing him as a strategic thinker whose commitment to football is reshaping Zimbabwe’s sporting landscape.
Appearing on the Scottland Magazine show this week , Angel said he rarely accepts interview or podcast invitations but made an exception out of deep respect for Sakupwanya, whom he described as a “global icon” with a clear vision for local sport.
Angel credited Sakupwanya’s investment in football with changing lives and revitalising interest in the game across the country.
“Hon. Scott has injected life into Zimbabwean football. A lot has changed, and many young people have found purpose,” he said.
Highlighting football’s global influence, Angel noted that with more than 3.5 million followers worldwide, the sport’s reach is too significant to be ignored.
He also praised Sakupwanya’s community work in Mabvuku where the businessman has funded housing projects, purchased vehicles for resident and supported a range of development initiatives.
Angel hinted that major announcements regarding Scotland FC are expected during his Sunday sermon.
