MASVINGO — The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of four suspects in connection with a series of unlawful entry and theft cases reported in and around Masvingo between December 2025 and April 2026.
The suspects,includes notorious housebreaker Tapiwa Tagwirei(27) and his accomplices identified as Peace Mandizvidza (32), Edward Sibanda (27) and Kumbulani Sibanda (25) have so far been linked to 10 cases in which property valued at US$14,330 was stolen.
Police investigations established that the suspects would break into residential premises in the absence of the owners and steal various household goods. The stolen items include electrical appliances such as television sets and refrigerators, as well as blankets and other valuables.
Acting on intelligence, law enforcement officers have since recovered property valued at US$10k including two television sets, a deep freezer, blankets and other items.

The ZRP has urged members of the public to remain vigilant and to secure their premises while reiterating its commitment to curbing crime and ensuring the safety of communities.
