A total of 523 individuals have been killed, and 1 433 injured in Gaza since the ceasefire agreement with the Israeli government, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Zimbabwe Dr Tamer Almassri has said.
In a statement, Almassri strongly condemned the ongoing bombings of Gaza by Israeli forces, which recently claimed 51 Palestinian lives, including six children.
“This horrendous violence is a continued violation of the established ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip,” he remarked.
The ambassador urged the international community to act on the ongoing violations and ensure the protection of Palestinians, hold violators accountable, and work towards sustainable peace.
“We demand an immediate end to this genocidal war, a total cessation of ceasefire violations, and a definitive end to the occupation, ” he added.
The death toll has risen to 71 795 and 171 551 injuries since the start of the aggression in October 2023, according to Almassri.
