HARARE- – Kingdom Prosperity Ministries (KPM) founder, Apostle Rodney Chipoyera, delivered a significant boost to the local gospel music scene this past Friday, pledging his continued support for the arts through a generous donation to the renowned Joyful Praise Choir.
During a highly attended all-night prayer service, Apostle Chipoyera surprised the choir with a cash donation of US$4,000. Going beyond the immediate financial gift, the clergyman further committed to funding a professional recording contract for the group, a move aimed at bolstering their creative output and reach.
The gesture, which left congregants and choir members visibly moved, was framed as part of Apostle Chipoyera’s mission to uplift the community and support gospel ministries.
“Supporting the vessel of worship is an investment in the Kingdom and Apostle believes in the power of music to transform lives and bring hope, and it is our responsibility to ensure those with the gift of praise have the resources to excel,” said an ecstatic congregant.
This act of benevolence is not an isolated incident for the KPM leader. Apostle Chipoyera has become increasingly visible for his philanthropic initiatives across Zimbabwe. His ministry, known for its teachings on “Kingdom Prosperity which emphasizes spiritual and financial stewardship often integrates social responsibility into its core operations.
Beyond his public donations, the Apostle’s ministry focuses on teaching biblical principles for financial breakthrough and personal development. His recent efforts have seen him engage in various community-based support programs, ranging from assisting the vulnerable to backing local artists who use their platforms for religious expression.
The donation to the Joyful Praise Choir serves to show the growing trend of influential church leaders in Zimbabwe stepping in to bridge the resource gap for gospel musicians, who often face significant financial hurdles in producing high-quality recordings.
As the gospel music fraternity continues to play a pivotal role in the country’s cultural and spiritual landscape, gestures like these are being viewed as a welcome intervention, providing artists with the much-needed stability to sustain their ministries.
