Harare- A 33-year old inmate Itai Madhonko who was serving a 45-year sentence for armed robbery and rape escaped from Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) custody at Harare Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
He had attended the court to answer to other pending charges.
He allegedly stabbed a prison guard, handcuffed him, stripped him naked and wore his uniform to make good his escape. Authorities have launched a manhunt for Madhonko .
