Regional broadcasting giant, AzamTV has secured rights to broadcast the world’s biggest football tournament, FIFA World Cup 2026, Expresss Mail Zim, has learnt.
In a statement, CEO – Business Development and Technology at AzamTV, Jacob Joseph, expressed great joy and highlighted that they will be broadcasting live all 104 matches.
“We are delighted to secure the rights for the FIFA World Cup 2026™,” he said.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be available to AzamTV subscribers in several countries including Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Rwanda, Zambia and Botswana.
“We will also provide comprehensive tournament coverage, expert analysis, exciting programming, and exclusive entertainment experiences leading up to and throughout the FIFA World Cup 2026™,” read part of the statement.
For Zimbabwean subscribers, the football’s biggest spectacle will be accessible from their US$10 package on their AzamSports (HD) channels.
“This landmark achievement reflects Azam TV’s continued commitment to delivering world-class sports coverage and premium entertainment content to its valued customers,” the statement continued.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be jointly hosted by Mexico, United States and Canada from 11 June to 19 July.
