Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Mozambique and Eswatini, Dr Victor Matemadanda, has died.
Government spokesperson Nick Mangwana announced the death in a post on X on Saturday, describing it as “a deeply saddening loss” and extending condolences to President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Matemadanda’s family, friends, colleagues and the nation.
“Ambassador Victor Matemadanda passed away last night. This is a deeply saddening loss. Dr. Matemadanda served as Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to the Republic of Mozambique and the Kingdom of Eswatini. Sincere condolences go to His Excellency the President, whom he represented with dedication, and to his family, friends, colleagues, and the nation at large. MHDSRIP,” Mangwana wrote.
The Government is yet to release further details regarding the cause of death or funeral arrangements.
