Harare- A bogus Australian businessman named Hayden Peter Warszewski is in the eye of a storm after allegedly defrauding a local company of half a million dollars.

Prominent businessman and politician James Pande is among those who suffered from Warszewski’s fraudulent activities.

Information gathered show that Warszewski claimed to own timony mines in Kwekwe and Mberengwa.

He promised to deliver the products to a company linked to Pande but failed to honour.

“Months went by and he never delivered even a gram of antimony but instead he went on holiday in Thailand and all over the world spending money with several women of different races.

“He (Warszewski) has been defrauding a lot of unsuspecting customers claiming he produces 5000 tonnes of antimony every week,” says Pande.

It has emerged that Warszewski had been hiding in Antelope Park in Gweru until he was caught by Pande and his team.

“We made him sign an acknowledgement of debt and he also agreed to pay the $500 000 within seven days,” added Pande.

Pande is a renowned businessman and politician who has also promoted sports development in the country.

Recently, he donated football equipment to Masvingo United.
