HARARE — Broadhaven Construction Company has temporarily ceased operations and ordered employees not to report for duty, citing incapacitation.
Company insiders say the shutdown follows severe operational challenges amid allegations involving Munyaradzi Majoni, who company sources describe as a director, over the alleged diversion of funds disbursed for major construction work at Afreximbank along Herbert Chitepo Avenue.
Workers were reportedly instructed to stay home until further notice as management attempts to stabilise the business.
The allegations have cast uncertainty over the high-profile Afreximbank project, with stakeholders raising questions about accountability, project timelines and the handling of project funds.
Majoni could not be reached for comment by the time of going to print. Broadhaven Construction had not issued an official statement on the closure or the allegations.
The developments are expected to attract scrutiny from industry regulators and project stakeholders as calls for transparency mount.
